Former Claysville truck stop could have new life in energy industry

The closed truck stop along Interstate 70 in Claysville has been purchased.

The Observer-Reporter said it was bought by by Frank Brownlee, who owns Brownlee Trucking in Avella. It had been a truck stop and restaurant for years before closing down in May after a liquidation. The purchase price wasn’t immediately available but it had been owned before that by Community Bank.

Brownlee told the newspaper he was considering a use for the land involving the oil and gas industry.
