Cobb to award $1M contract for park upgrades

Cobb County officials are expected Tuesday to award a contract for more than $1 million for upgrades at Nickajack Park in Mableton.

The county set aside $1.4 million for the park in a 2011 special purpose local option sales tax, reports Marietta Daily Journal.

The park includes baseball, softball and football fields, as well as tennis courts, picnic tables, a batting cage and a concession area, the paper adds.
