Even after construction of the Denver VA Medical Center in Aurora is complete, an additional six months of work and $340 million is required to “activate” the facility, U.S. Department of Veterans’ Affairs officials said Saturday.

These costs are appropriated separately from the $1.73 billion construction budget reported by VA officials in March.
