New proposal to Metro that would scale back increase to 8-car trains during rush hour

Expanding to all eight-car trains during rush hour had been a key element of Metro’s expansion plan, approved in 2013. But now, with falling ridership and calls for cutbacks from government officials, WAMU says Metro is developing a plan to cut back on the eight-car train service to make room for other budget items.
