Telegraph Hill parking lot seeks affordable housing, but neighbors want middle class
San Francisco city officials are seeking a developer to build low-income housing on a Telegraph Hill parking lot, but some neighbors want the site to have more apartments for middle class residents as a debate over housing affordability and access engulfs the Bay Area.
The Port of San Francisco and Mayor’s Office of Housing are preparing a request for proposals for the 37,823-square-foot city-owned site, between Broadway, Front and Vallejo streets.
