United Steelworkers rejects contract offer made amid refinery strike
A strike affecting three facilities owned by San Antonio refining company Tesoro will continue after union leaders rejected a proposed labor contract.
Some 5,200 union members have been on strike at 12 petrochemical facilities since Jan. 31 citing alleged safety concerns at aging refineries.
Three of the facilities affected are refineries owned by Tesoro in Anacortes, Washington as well as Martinez and Carson, California.
