Under Armour’s planned Portland expansion marks a clear shot across the bow of its two primary competitors.

That is, Under Armour will lease the full 70,000 square feet former YMCA building immediately south of downtown. The spot comes replete with a running track and a prominent site that’s visible to thousands of daily commuters.

The move will bring Under Armour into a space that’s nearly five times bigger than the company’s current Pearl District space.
