Beaverton real estate investment trust to go public this week

A Beaverton-based real estate investment trust is expected to go public this week with shares hitting the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday, Feb. 12.

According to a release from the company, Great Ajax Corp. will focus primarily on acquiring, investing in and managing a portfolio of mortgage loans secured by single-family residences and properties. The company, headed up by CEO Lawrence Mendelsohn, announced last week that it would be offering nearly 5.4 million shares of common stock.
