Buckle up: Tesla will have more test drive events in Texas

Tesla Motors has won another battle in its war against Texas franchise dealership laws.

The California-car maker has found a work-around that allows it to host more special test drive events for Tesla owners and prospective customers, so long as Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA) gets the proper permitting.

These events allow people to take the Tesla Model S cars for a spin on the test track. Such test drives are typically not allowed.
