Since his first beer at Tony & Joe’s on the Georgetown waterfront 16 years ago, restaurateur Reese Gardner has wanted to be captain of Washington Harbour. Or at least its first mate.

He’s finally getting his wish with his new waterfront bar and restaurant, Orange Anchor, which will open Feb. 12. The 124-seat restaurant takes the place of Cabanas on the plaza in the waterfront development, and will also feature a 48-seat patio when the weather warms up.
