CPS Energy makes land donation to expand San Antonio Museum of Art

The San Antonio Museum of Art will soon be able to expand following a donation of land by the city’s municipally owned utility company CPS Energy.

CPS Energy’s board of directors made the announcement at their monthly meeting on Monday afternoon.

Board of Directors Chairwoman Nora Chavez said CPS Energy would be donating half of the property at its operations center on Jones Avenue to the museum.

Chavez said the operations center is moving but its current location is next to the museum.
