Drilling declines continue for Eagle Ford despite oil price increase

Crude oil prices have spent the last week climbing upwards but drilling activity is not following suit, according to figures released on Friday.

The Baker Hughes Rig Count reveals drilling activity declines for the Eagle Ford, Permian Basin, Texas and the United States.

West Texas Intermediate is trading above $55 per barrel for the first time since December but drilling activity has not yet caught up with higher prices.
