Enterprise announces CEO retirement

In a surprising move, the CEO of Houston midstream giant Enterprise Products Partners LP will retire at the end of the year. The COO will then take over the top job, the company announced.

Michael Creel, 61, who took over the CEO job in 2010, will retire Dec. 31 and hand the reins to COO Jim Teague, 70. Enterprise CFO Randall Fowler, 58, is being promoted to chief administrative officer on April 1 and will be added to Enterprise’s office of the chairman.
