Hawaii gas prices begin to climb

Hawaii is one of only three states enjoying lower gas prices than they did four weeks ago, according to the website GasBuddy.com.

The others are Illinois and Wisconsin.

However, gas prices in Honolulu are heading upward, GasBuddy says. The average price of a gallon of regular was $2.98 on Sunday, rising 4.8 cents during the past week. It was still 7.7 cents a gallon below a month ago and was bucking the national average, which rose 10.7 cents a gallon over the past month.
