Health issue pushes theatreWashington CEO to retire

TheatreWashington said its president and CEO, Linda Levy, will retire to focus on health issues.

Levy has led the D.C. organization, which changed its name from the Helen Hayes Awards in 2011, since 2008. The group, which advocates for and supports local theater, still oversees the prestigious Helen Hayes Awards, the Oscars equivalent for the Washington theater community, where Levy has worked for 27 years.
