Hill East redevelopment kicks off with Mayor Muriel Bowser's signature

The painfully delayed redevelopment of Reservation 13 took an important step Monday as Mayor Muriel Bowser signed off on the agreement that will spur the kickoff of the initial phase.

Bowser, joined by representatives of Donatelli Development and Blue Skye Construction, signed the land disposition agreement that will deliver the two developers two lots on the 67-acre reservation.

It is a “catalytic project,” Bowser said, one that’s been 12 years and many fits and starts in the making.
