Houston Chronicle's downtown building going up for sale

The Houston Chronicle’s downtown building will be put up for sale on April 7, according to the paper.

The property is two blocks south of Market Square Park and includes a 10-story office building at 801 Texas and a parking garage. HFF is marketing the property, which doesn’t have an asking price, the Chronicle reports.

Paul Barbetta, the company’s executive vice president and COO, expects the future owner will tear the building down and replace it with a skyscraper, according to the report.
