Lime Energy goes for growth with $11M purchase

Lime Energy Co. has acquired a California energy-efficiency software developer and programs administrator for $11 million in cash.

The deal to purchase EnerPath of Redlands, Calif., closed March 24. The combined company has more than 300 employees, up from 170 for Huntersville-based Lime before the purchase.

It is an important move for Lime. The company spent 2013 and much of 2014 recovering from the 2012 revelation that it had misreported or fabricated what turned out to be $31.6 million in revenue…
