Raleigh firm teams with German company on 28MW solar portfolio in N.C.

Holocene Clean Energy of Raleigh and Conergy, a global solar company based in Hamburg, Germany, closed financing this week on the purchase of five N.C. solar projects that, when built, will total 28 megawatts.

The value of the projects was placed at close to $60 million.

Holocene CFO Stan Allison says the first of the five projects is likely to come on line in June. More will be finished the summer, and all the projects will be completed in this year.
