Regional Transit selling surplus property in Land Park

Two parcels on a busy Sacramento thoroughfare are up for sale, after Sacramento Regional Transit District determined they wouldn’t be needed for transit.

Each just under an acre, the parcels are north of where Riverside Boulevard crosses Sutterville Road in the Land Park neighborhood.

RT general manager Mike Wiley said the two parcels are leftovers from when Regional Transit bought an abandoned Southern Pacific rail line through south Sacramento in the late 1980s.
