Solar bill sails through Georgia House

Undeterred by the rainy weather outside, members of the Georgia House of Representatives unanimously passed legislation Monday expected to give the state’s solar industry a big lift.

The bill, which now moves to the state Senate, would for the first time let Georgia property owners use third-party financing to have solar panels installed at their homes or businesses.
