Solar panel system installed at Old Fort Niagara

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation flipped the switch Friday on a $90,000, 50-kilowatt solar photovoltaic system designed to save the park $9,100 annually.

The system, installed by state park employees at Fort Niagara State Park, enhances efforts to improve energy efficiency throughout the park system.
