South Shore Place in Braintree sells for $41.5M

An affiliate of Lexington-based Bierbrier Development Inc. has acquired the newly built South Shore Place retail center for $41.5 million, or about $922 per square foot, according to a Suffolk County deed.

South Shore Place was developed by Cambridge-based Carpenter & Co. and sold by a joint venture of Carpenter and Boston-based BayNorth Capital LLC. The 45,000-square-foot retail facility includes tenants such as Legal Sea Foods and Ben & Jerry’s.
