Striking workers stage protest at Tesoro refinery in California

More than 200 people protested outside a Tesoro Corp. refinery in Martinez, Calif., in support of workers who have been on strike since Feb. 1.

Although the United Steelworkers reached a deal last Thursday with oil giant Shell for the labor contract on a national level, “local issues” remain a stumbling block at three refineries owned by Tesoro in California and Washington.
