United Steelworkers strike expands to Ohio, Indiana facilities

The United Steelworkers International strike of oil refineries widened over the weekend to include facilities in Ohio and Indiana.

The Pittsburgh-based union said Saturday that about 1,400 workers at the BP refineries in Whiting, Ind., and Toledo, Ohio, would be joining the strike that has already impacted refineries in California, Texas, Washington and Kentucky.
