Virginia working to make ‘strongest case’ to lure Harris Corp.

Both Gov. Terry McAuliffe and Sen. Mark Warner’s offices confirm that the Virginia Democrats are working hard to entice Harris Corp. to move its headquarters to the commonwealth from Florida.

Harris (NYSE: HRS) again confirmed in a Q&A document filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission April 17 that a headquarters move from Melbourne, Florida, remains on the table as a possibility after its acquisition of McLean-based Exelis Inc.(NYSE: XLS) closes in June.
