Sources: Liberty Mutual could announce larger DFW expansion

Liberty Mutual is expected to announce larger expansion plans in Dallas-Fort Worth early this week after telling the Dallas Business Journal the Boston-based insurance company had no plans of expanding beyond a relatively small service center in Plano.

Details of Exxon Mobil's $225M settlement in New Jersey go public

The details of Exxon Mobil Corp’s unprecedented $225 million settlement with New Jersey were posted Monday on the state’s website.

Irving-based Exxon (NYSE: XOM) will pay that money to the state in addition to the cost needed to remediate environmental damages from refineries in Bayonne and Linden.

Offshore drilling company cuts jobs after losing BP contract

Houston-based Seadrill Americas Inc., the U.S. arm of Bermuda-based and London-operated Seadrill Ltd. (NYSE: SDRL), is cutting jobs after losing a contract from BP PLC (NYSE: BP), according to a letter to the Texas Workforce Commission.

DEP extends comment period on oil, gas rules

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection is extending the public comment period on two sets of new oil and gas rules and is scheduling additional hearings.

The department said Monday that the comment period on the proposed rules will now close May 19, giving the public an extra 15 days to provide opinions. The department also said that it will hold one of three extra hearings somewhere in southwestern Pennsylvania. A date and location were not announced.

Siemens launches its oil and gas HQ in Houston

German industrial giant Siemens AG and Houston Mayor Annise Parker teamed up at City Hall to announce that Siemens’ new oil and gas headquarters will call the Energy Corridor home.

Siemens said it will base its headquarters at the new West Memorial Place at 15375 Memorial Drive. Siemens will occupy nearly 29,000 square feet and move in about 100 employees this week. Siemens is headquartering its oil and gas, power generation and marine business units there.
