Luxury $17M ranch in North Texas to sell to the highest bidder

A 346-acre North Texas ranch on Lake Cypress Springs has landed on the auction block and will be sold to the highest bidder at a live auction in May.

The ranch, called Timber Creek Ranch, previously was marketed in parcels for nearly $17 million.

“There are so many potentials for its future use that we anticipate a wide variety of bidders,” said Billy Long, head of New York City-based Concierge Auctions’ land & ranch division.

Imperial Jewelers closing at Maui Mall after 22 years in business, Max's of Manila opening

Imperial Jewelers is closing at the end of this month after 22 years at the Maui Mall, a mall spokeswoman confirmed to PBN this week.

Max’s of Manila, the popular Filipino food restaurant that has locations on Oahu, is opening in the Imperial Jewelers and Dragon Dragon Chinese Restaurant spaces.

The spaces are being consolidated to to make way for the new Max’s restaurant.

Elite Pacific Properties opens office in red-hot Kauai North Shore market

Honolulu-based Elite Pacific Properties recently opened an office on Kauai with Garden Isle real estate veteran Sean Ahearn, formerly of Coldwell Banker Bali Hai Realty, as the head of the office.

The 800-square-foot office, which is located at the Fooland-anchored Princeville Center near First Hawaiian Bank, houses five people.

Major offshore wind energy project planned for Hawaii waters

A Danish developer is planning to develop a major offshore wind energy project, which would include more than 100 turbines, in federal waters in Hawaii off Oahu’s northwest and southern coasts, according to a published report.

The project would be the first floating offshore wind farm in the United States. Thus far, there are no offshore wind farms up and running in the U.S., although there are some projects in some sort of development phase in areas such as the East Coast and Great Lakes region.
