Bulfinch Cos. planning $20M AC by Marriott at Cambridge Discovery Park

Real estate development and management firm The Bulfinch Cos. is planning to start construction in April on a 150-room AC Hotel by Marriott at its 27-acre CambridgeDiscovery Park.

Bulfinch in February received approval for an additional 400,000 square feet of mixed-use development at the West Cambridge park, part of which will host the AC Hotel by Marriott. The hotel will be located on a parcel fronting Route 2, according to an updated Bulfinch Cos. site plan.

Scaffolding falls in downtown Raleigh, deaths confirmed

Dominion Realty Partners has yet to release a comment about a deadly scaffold fall reported Monday at the Charter Square site the company is developing in Raleigh.

But investigators released new information at a news conference.

“At this time, it doesn’t appear to be anything but a terrible accident,” said Raleigh Police Major Glen Perry.

Fresh Market to open store near Office Depot headquarters

The Fresh Market has signed a lease for a new location in Boca Raton, the company announced last week.

Representatives from the Greensboro, N.C.-based specialty grocer said the address has not been confirmed because it will be part of a new development called Park Place, but the store will be directly south of the Office Depot headquarters at 6600 North Military Trail in Boca Raton and north of Yamato Road.

The Fresh Market will be the company’s 43rd store in Florida once it’s open in early 2016…
