Encana grant supports energy exhibit at Children's Museum of Denver

Encana Corp. has given a $1 million grant to the Children’s Museum of Denver to help pay for a new exhibit focused on energy.

It’s one of six new exhibits under construction as part of the museum’s $16.1 million expansion t hat will create a 9-acre campus and more than double the current space for exhibits and indoor and outdoor programs by year’s end.

The new space will house eight new interactive exhibits, including the energy exhibit.

Consol CEO takes home more in 2014

Consol Energy Inc. Nick DeIuliis took a new title in 2014. And he began drawing more compensation, too.

According to a proxy statement filed with the SEC, DeIuliis, 46, saw his overall compensation rise 45 percent over 2013 to $8.3 million. However, Consol (NYSE:CNX) said the increase is largely attributable to a change in how pension values are calculated. The change didn’t result in any realized value, it said.

Al Austin's Westshore office buildings sold

Redstone Investments has closed on the Austin Center in Tampa’s Westshore district.

The Austin Center is five office buildings on North West Shore Boulevard totaling 300,000 square feet. They were developed in phases, beginning in the late 1960s, by Tampa civic leader and Republican fundraiser Al Austin, who died in May 2014.

Redstone, which has offices in Tampa and Youngstown, Ohio, did not disclose a purchase price. A deed for the transaction has not yet been filed in Hillsborough County.
