Office tenant boosts space in Natomas, but doesn't go far

Inland Business Systems didn’t need to look far when company managers determined they’d outgrown their existing 35,000-square-foot space in Natomas.

By April, the company will be in new, bigger space just down North Market Boulevard, according to a broker who helped them find it.

“There aren’t many sexy flex buildings out there,” said Scott Bennett, a senior vice president with Colliers International Sacramento. “They needed one that was more like half office and half warehouse, and that’s the…

How to knock your next RFP response out of the park

So, just how much of the text in those huge proposals we submit do you actually read?

That was one of the questions posed to panelists at the Society for Marketing Professional Services’ Friday luncheon on “How to Improve Your Proposal Responses … What Your Clients Say They Want To See.” The group primarily discussed proposals for general contracting, architecture and engineering services.

“We wish the City of Grand Prairie the best in the entertainment district efforts,” Thurston stated. “We…

“The state of entrepreneurship is not good,” said Jonathan Robinson, a manager of entrepreneurship programs for the Kauffman Foundation. “But it could be worse.”

Though the city…

Apartment developer nabs SoBro site

An apartment developer from Ohio continued its buying spree in Nashville on Monday, acquiring land in SoBro.

Lifestyle Communities paid $850,000 for 0.4 acres at 716 3rd Ave. South. The property is the next block over from the popular 3rd & Lindsley live music venue, and also near some Metro and county office buildings.

What’s most significant about this deal is that it extends the push for residential development much deeper into SoBro.

There’s the Encore condo tower and a 33-story apartment…
