RadioShack begins to roll out San Antonio store closures

If you’re shopping for electronics at the Village at Stone Oaks shopping center this weekend, don’t count on buying anything from RadioShack.

The Fort Worth-based electronics retailer, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this month, is in the process of shuttering 16 of its more than 20 San Antonio locations. The closures are expected to flood the city’s retail market with about 40,000 square feet of space.

Pension plan buys Dallas office building along LBJ corridor

Buchanan Street Partners, on behalf of an unnamed pension plan, has bought a Dallas office building alongside LBJ Freeway for an undisclosed sum and plans to take advantage of the thoroughfare’s significant upgrades.

The 10-story, 240,000-square-foot office building, named Granite Tower, at 4055 Valley View Lane in Dallas was bought from CREA Investments and Macfarlan Capital Partners.
