Champagne oysters and canned beer: What to expect at Georgetown waterfront’s newest spot

Since his first beer at Tony & Joe’s on the Georgetown waterfront 16 years ago, restaurateur Reese Gardner has wanted to be captain of Washington Harbour. Or at least its first mate.

He’s finally getting his wish with his new waterfront bar and restaurant, Orange Anchor, which will open Feb. 12. The 124-seat restaurant takes the place of Cabanas on the plaza in the waterfront development, and will also feature a 48-seat patio when the weather warms up.

SunZia spokesperson says permitting delays part of the process

Though the SunZia transmission project is on hold for 60 days, the delay was not unexpected.

Republicans control the state Senate by a one-vote margin and on Thursday used that margin to pass a bill aimed at rolling back Colorado’s renewable energy standards.

The agency’s data showed New Mexicans spent $30 million last year installing rooftop solar panels, $23 million of which went to labor. Doña Ana County led the state in solar construction, with 1.54 solar…

Analysts lower expectation for Landstar although management is upbeat

Although Landstar Systems Inc. stayed upbeat during their recent fourth quarter conference call with investors, some analysts have slightly lowered 2015 expectations as a potential slump threatens the company’s first quarter.

“Despite a strong 2014 full year and finish, the stock has been weak as investors have expected deteriorating flatbed and industrial trends to surface, especially in light of the plunge in oil prices,” BB&T Capital Markets analysts wrote in a recent research note.

But, the…
