Boston buyer acquires high-end Franklin apartments

A Boston investment firm has spent $37.25 million to bolster its Middle Tennessee portfolio.

According to public records, Eaton Vance Corp. (NYSE: EV) acquired the Grove at Shadow Green high-end apartment complex. It’s located a couple of miles south of downtown Franklin.

New homes sales in March put region on best pace since 2008

With another increase in new homes sold in March over the previous month, the Sacramento region is on pace for its highest numbers in seven years.

The end of March and the first quarter of the year showed 374 and 960 new homes sold, respectively. In 2008, the figure at the end of the first quarter was 1,229, and the total of 3,567 that year came as the economy slowed drastically in the second half. Barry Green, a long-time director in Goulston & Storrs PC’s real estate practice, has taken over as co-managing director of the law firm, alongside Martin Fantozzi.
