First look: Nashville developer plans 12South apartments

Nashville developer The Mainland Cos. is proposing to build 75 apartments on 12th Avenue South — just the latest project fueling its recent growth spurt.

The company, led by CEO Ken Larish, announced its plans April 11 for the 0.85 acres located at 1900 12th Ave. S. The address is near Belmont University, one block from the intersection of 12th Avenue South and Wedgewood Avenue.

This now makes four Nashville neighborhoods where the 4-year-old company is pursuing projects.

Colorado natural-gas utility offered for sale by GE, Alinda Capital

SourceGas LLC, a natural gas supplier based in Golden, reportedly is being put on the market by its owners, GE Energy Financial Services and Alinda Capital Partners LLC.

The Wall Street Journal report s that the sale of the utility could bring more than $1.5 billion.

SourceGas serves some 415,000 customers in Colorado as well as Nebraska, Wyoming and Arkansas. It operates 18,290 miles of distribution, gathering and transmission pipeline, and also offers in-home HVAC and appliance service and sales.
