Houston energy company expands in the Falkland Islands

Houston-based Noble Energy Inc. (NYSE: NBL) has made a farm-in deal for oil production offshore of the Falkland Islands near Argentina.

Noble, which has pursued a Falkland drilling program for a few years, acquired a 75 percent interest and operations lead for a license in the North Falkland Basin from Argos Resources Ltd. Italy-based Edison International SpA acquired the remaining 25 percent interest. The license includes about 285,000 acres.

The retail space on the ground floor of the Related Group’s new Millecento condo was sold for $10.5 million.

FA Commercial’s Fabio Faerman represented buyer Ledoc LLC in the purchase of 17,500 square feet in the building at 1100 S. Miami Ave. for $650 per square foot. He said it was purchased in 2013 at pre-construction prices and should be worth nearly double that now.
