Seattle may soon get an NHL team as plans emerge for Tukwila arena

ESPN.com on Monday reported that the head of a Connecticut investment firm, Ray Bartoszek, has filed early plans with the city of Tukwila to build a multipurpose arena that could be used for professional hockey.

Bartoszek had planned to buy the Arizona Coyotes and move the National Hockey League franchise to Seattle, but that deal fell through two years ago. Now his company, RLB Holdings Sports and Entertainment, has filed preliminary paperwork with Tukwila to build an arena near the Sounder/Amtrak…

Co-working company WeWork is looking to expand its D.C. area footprint, this time on H Street NE.

The New York-based provider of co-working space is close to a deal for a 26,000-square-foot space at the Apollo, a mixed-use building under construction on the 600 block of H St. NE, according to a source with knowledge of the discussions.

The Wydown, the independent coffeeshop at 14th and U streets NW that opened last year, is also in talks to open in the building.

A combination of design modifications and weather delays has pushed back the estimated opening of the Silver Line extension to Reston Town Center, Dulles Airport and Loudoun County by at least 13 months, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority said Monday.
