Massage Envy to open third location in Hawaii at Kapolei Commons in West Oahu

Massage Envy Spa plans to open its third location in Hawaii at the Kapolei Commons shopping center in West Oahu.

The Scottsdale, Arizona-based company already has two franchise locations in Hawaii — at Pearl Highlands Center in Central Oahu and Windward City Shopping Center in Kaneohe.

Nate McFarland, regional developer and co-owner of the Hawaii Massage Envy stores, along with Lari Jarvis, are opening their newest location next to Pier 1 Imports at 4460 Kapolei Parkway.

RadioShack closing three Hawaii stores as part of bankruptcy filing

RadioShack is planning to close three stores in Hawaii as part of the Texas-based company’s first round of closures following the electronics retailer’s filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection this week, according to a list from the company.

The stores closing in Hawaii include the 5,451-square-foot Pearlridge Center store in Central Oahu, the 2,304-square-foot Waikele Center store, also in Central Oahu and the 2,483-square-foot store at Honolulu’s Nuuanu Shopping Plaza.

Texas Supreme Court sides with saltwater disposal company in lawsuit

The Texas Supreme Court has sided with a saltwater disposal company in an “underground trespassing” lawsuit filed by a Texas landowner.

The case — FPL Farming Ltd. vs Environmental Processing Systems LC — had been pending in the Texas Supreme Court since December 2012.

FPL Farming sued to stop an underground disposal site set up by Environmental Processing Systems on neighboring land likening the saltwater disposal to “underground trespassing.”

The combined firm now operates under the name Jones, Maresca & McQuade PA.
