Solar installer RGS Energy to cut 30% of staff, reorganize

RGS Energy, a rooftop solar-power installation company based in Louisville, said Monday it has “begun a process of reorganization and realignment” that includes reducing its employee head count by 100 positions, or 30 percent of its current staff, over the next few months.

WPX Energy plans layoffs; Colorado operations hit hard

WPX Energy Inc. said Monday it will lay off about 83 employees companywide, shrinking its workforce by 8 percent, and slash its Denver employee count 90 percent as low commodity prices continue to hammer energy companies nationwide.
