Gasoline prices dip below $2 per gallon in San Antonio

Motorists are getting a break at the pump in San Antonio where the price of regular unleaded gasoline has fallen below $2 per gallon.

Gasoline prices took a dip on Monday with at least three gas stations selling regular unleaded for $1.99 per gallon:

H-E-B, Austin Highway; Murphy USA, Austin Highway; Petronic, Vance Jackson Rd and Spicewood Drive

The lower gasoline prices come amid a record surplus inventory of crude oil supplies and accompanying low commodity prices.

Jim Lake-led team buys historic Ambassador Hotel in Dallas for redevelopment

A limited partnership led by Jim Lake Cos. has bought the historic Ambassador Hotel in downtown Dallas, and plans to redevelop the property at the southeast corner of Interstate 30 and S. Ervay St.

The hotel is the oldest luxury hotel in Dallas, dating to 1904.

The partnership, Ambassador Hotel Partners LP, bought the property from a Christian-based nonprofit based in Illinois called, Institute in Basic Life Principles Inc., according to Dallas County deed records.
