Barnet Dulaney eyes $15M Sun City medical campus

Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center and a group of doctors are teaming up to develop a retail medical campus in Sun City.

The medical group is the managing member of the Sun City Development Group, a combination of investors and providers at the new campus, including the Maxwell Group, North Valley Neurology and Moore Audiology and Hearing Aid Center.

S.F. supervisor wants to limit Mission development, may pitch moratorium

San Francisco Supervisor David Campos said Friday that he will soon push for new development limits in a rapidly gentrifying part of the Mission District, possibly proposing a rare moratorium on market-rate housing projects.

Campos, who represents the Mission, said in the next “few weeks” he will likely propose legislation to add new layers of rules to guide what can be built around the 24th Street BART, or temporarily stop market-rate housing approvals altogether.

American Savings Bank will open its new Ewa branch in Laulani Village Shopping Center next week after eight months of construction.

​Hawaii to receive $9M HUD grant for affordable housing

The Hawaii Public Housing Authority will receive a $9 million grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as part of its Capital Fund Program for Public Housing Agencies, the state’s congressional delegation said Friday.

Seven more companies approved for access to Mexican oil data rooms

The Mexican government has approved another seven companies to receive access to data rooms for 14 shallow-water oil drilling sites in the Bay of Campeche.

Mexico has opened its energy sector to foreign investment for the first time in more than 70 years.

The 14 shallow-water oil drilling sites have been placed up for lease as part of the first round of those energy reforms.
