Utility company files to spin off midstream businesses into standalone company

NiSource Inc. (NYSE: NI) took another step in the spinoff of its natural gas pipeline and related businesses into a standalone public company the same day that its Houston-based master-limited partnership started trading on the New York Stock Exchange.

DeKalb lawyer files brief against Braves stadium funding

A DeKalb County attorney has filed a brief with the Georgia Supreme Court supporting three Cobb residents who are challenging the issuance of up to $397 million in bonds to finance construction of the Atlanta Braves stadium.

Brookhaven resident Loren Collins filed the brief Tuesday, reports The Marietta Daily Journal.

The brief was filed the same day the Georgia Supreme Court heard oral arguments for the appeal of the bond issuance, the paper says.

Akridge joins effort to develop Reston's tallest building

Richard Whealen has found itself a big name partner to develop what will be Reston’s tallest building.
