Gevo, Colorado biofuels maker, plans 1-for-15 reverse stock split

Colorado biofuels company Gevo Inc. said Monday it will initiate a 1-for-15 reverse stock split effective as of the close of business, with trading resuming on Tuesday on the new, split-adjusted basis.

Shares of Gevo (Nasdaq: GEVO) closed at 17 cents Monday and have traded under $1 a share since the middle of May 2014.

The move was approved by the company’s stockholders as a special meeting on April 13, the Douglas County-based company said.

With no girl to run the Surly Girl Saloon, the 10-year Columbus watering hole is shutting down.

The Short North restaurant and bar at 1126 N. High St. expects to close by April 28.

After former Assisted Living Concepts Inc. CEO Laurie Bebo failed in her efforts to block a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission fraud case against her, an administrative law hearing started Monday in Milwaukee.

Construction firms named for riverfront NFL stadium

A consortium of one out-of-town and three local developers has been selected by the St. Louis Regional Convention and Sports Complex Authority to be the construction manager for a football stadium on the north riverfront downtown.

The group, called HCKL Stadium Partners, is comprised of Hunt Construction Group, an AECOM Company, Clayco Inc., Kennedy Associates, Inc. (KAI) and Legacy Building Group.

All four previously worked together when Busch Stadium was built in 2004 for $365 million.
