Colorado senators request VA committee hearing at Denver hospital

U.S. Sens. Michael Bennet and Cory Gardner have requested a meeting of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee at the Denver VA Medical Center in Aurora.

The senators sent a letter to the chairman and ranking member of the committee to request the field hearing in an attempt to highlight the issues at the facility.

“The visit will provide an opportunity for the Committee to see first-hand the extensive management and financial issues that continue to plague this project,” the letter said.

Gasoline prices in the Charlotte area and beyond are creeping steadily higher, driven largely by rising crude oil prices and the start of seasonal refinery maintenance, according to AAA.

New concept headed to former O'Malley's Corner

Something’s in the works at the former site of O’Malley’s Corner and Coyote’s, neighboring bars at the corner of Second and Liberty streets in downtown Louisvlile.

State selects company to build $30M nursing home in Miami-Dade
